Emissions in Delhi – Aviation


This emissions base is built on the number of flight take-offs and landings, associated passenger transport (such as driving around the airport and idling for pick ups and drop offs) around the airport vicinity (drawn from a GIS map), and support activities in the airport (such luggage transfers, passenger transfers, and other auxiliary transport). The diurnal trends in flights was obtained (and frequently updated) from flightstats, which provides enough information on the flights, make, and time of operation, to construct rest of the inventory.
